Secondary Years
The Cambridge Secondary Years consist of Lower Secondary and Upper Secondary.
Lower Secondary (Grades 6-8) is typically for learners aged 11 to 14 years. It helps them prepare students for the next step of their education, providing a clear path as they progress through the Cambridge Pathway in an age-appropriate way.
Upper Secondary is composed of IGCSE and A-Levels (Advanced)
Cambridge IGCSE was created more than 30 years ago. Today, it’s the world’s most popular international qualification for 14 to 16 year-old. Cambridge AS and A Level is typically for learners aged 16 to 19 years. Not only is it truly international – it gives students more options than any other international qualification. That means more subjects to choose from, more ways to learn and more ways to succeed.
Cambridge Advanced is typically for learners aged 16 to 19 years who need advanced study to prepare for university and higher education. It offers learners Cambridge International AS & A Level. Cambridge Advanced builds on the foundations of Cambridge Upper Secondary, although learners do not need to complete that stage before this one.
